The Gmailbox.org (Global Mailbox) was created by Joaquim Rocha, as a way to fill a void in the email services, namely, the lack of a mail forward service to protect the privacy of your email address and prevent it from being flooded daily with spam.




Erlang is a programming language used to build real-time systems, massively scalable and with high availability requirements. And for that reason it was the programming language chosen to build the Gmailbox.org.
Kill-Bill is the application server developed by the Gmailbox.org team to support the features required to implement the same. The server is free software and is available in open source.
